Have this rare beauty in this week for a check over, don't tend to see that many UK 67 TR6's as the R model seems more popular.
Although its had work in the past its retained all its original parts inc the Dunlop rims and original nuts n bolts.
Reading this thread has just reminded me,way back in the olden days 1966/67 there was a guy who used to frequent the same coffee bar in the evenings as I did and numerous friends. When the guy was ask what bike he was riding he always claim his bike was a single carb Bonnie when everyone knew it was a TR6/Trophy Needless to say he used to get a fair amount of ribbing Lovely bike you’ve got in there darkman
Great story just giving it a clean up and making sure all is set up correctly for its owner as its sat unused for ages
Thanks for sharing those pic's @darkman that is a very nice looking bike, you do get to work on some gems mate
Thanks when i get one like this i like to share pics as its a great reference for correctness of paint and fittings as they should be
I painted it in 1986 for a customer and I couldn’t believe it still was in his chosen colour many decades down the line
Quick update, a change of circumstance means the 67 TR6 UK spec bike is up for sale now if anyone is looking for one.
Darkman. Go on then what have you been looking at. I got a friend looking for a classic i will let him know. But i don't know if he is ever going to buy one as he finds them hard to start. Joe.
Hi Joe, he would like £10,000 for it but i know he would take less at a push. Its a UK bike and very correct in detail but would only appeal to someone looking specifically for a UK model.
