Thanks for all the info on last thread ......one of the answer to my little rattle could be a cam chain tensioner is this a hard job special tools etc or is this something i can do myself i am mechanically minded and work alot on cars so getting dirty is not a prob, is this a specicalist job? or can be diy .. and where can i find details on how to do it, haynes book off lies all off the tech stuff .....
and as it apart in bits is there anything else to change or replace why i am at it the rattle/ticking sound is from the top of the engine by the sounds of it... performance has not change it still pull like a train i just rather do the job now than later when it could be exspensive thank alot to all :biggrin::biggrin:

Cheap as chips and a peice of piss to do.... Buy either a new automatic tensioner or get a aftermarket manual adjuster...
Normally 2 X 10mm bolts to remove and job done.... There are few YouTube clips you can search to make you feel more at ease...
