As I've decided I can't meet up at Dumfries due to timings I've put together my planned route to Bellingham via Glasgow so take a look and see if there's a point enroute where we could meet up

Had a look at your route, we can meet up at ........... Bellingham !!!! Not going to cross paths till top side of Kielder, we'll just see you there. Your route down looks pretty good.

What route are we taking from Dumfries Ron? i've done a good route from Dumfries to Bellingham but it's only 75 miles! and if we are leaving Dumfries 10.30-11am we don't want to be at Bellingham too early... or we will all be buckled by tea time:eek::oops:..or maybe thats the plan;) Edit just noticed above post will have a look!

theres loads of things in the tool kit like reversing your route, you can split a route now so if youire touring you can do 1 big route and then split it up into sections. Oh theres so much I can't tell you!!

You can download the route straight to your sat nav with Gold
Also get lots of points of interest to put onto route.
    I pay £25 a year.

Just discovered that if you have a route already made up and you want to start the route at one of your other waypoints you click on the waypoint you want to be the start, then some options come up if you click on "GO" that waypoint now becomes the starting point:) (handy if you are using someone elses route),Also been having a look at the "Toolkit" for the first time:oops: some cool features in it,I'm not sure what the "optimize" does though:confused: i clicked it and my route looked the same..anybody know?

FOUND OUT WHAT THIS DOES;) 3.7 Optimize

Traditionally speaking this functionality is used often by delivering services. What optimize entails is that it edits your route to the most fast (efficient) route that is possible while maintaining the way points of your route.

I'm just about to go and get geared up for a ride over to JTS at Coalville to look at Jeans then over to an archaeological dig I'm working at on one of the locks on the Grantham canal.

I signed up to MyRoute yesterday and downloaded the app onto my phone. Then like a complete idiot I planned my route this morning on Google Maps and sent it to my phone. I should have used MyRoute!!!!

Is there a way of uploading that route into MyRoute? Not that it would be difficult to recreate it but hey ho......

I'll check in when I get back, or sooner if I can find Wi-Fi out in the depths of rural Leicestershire.......

Think the phone tracks the route somehow.
    Haven't figured that out yet.

so far the phone app only seems to track where you're going, it doesn't look as though you can plan routes on the mobile app, you can see routes youve planned on the web version, either on pc or phone, and use them as tracks, they have waypoints. Ive never used it like this. used it with a 3rd party programme for your mobile like sygic which worked well, then i got a satnav
