    Hi There,

I appear to have the notorious faulty ECU which powers the cooling fan 24/7 on my 2002 955i Daytona.

I believe that my bike does not have a seperate cooling fan relay as the cooling fan ground return is switched by the ECU itself.

I am about to remove the ECU and would, ideally, replace the drive transistors/FET'S, myself, if it is possible to open the ECU and if there is sufficient access to the circuit board.

Otherwise I am looking to find a replacement ECU and just wanted to know what numbers are important when I look at possible replacements?

My ECU has the following numbers: -

    S1000T3
    21655851-7
    IND MOD. :B
    1090054521

I believe that I may need to use TuneECU to take a copy of my current ECU map and transfer it to the new ECU?

Any further comments and assistance will be greatly appreciated.

    Martin.
