Well you guys got rid of the tree problem for me so i am going to help crispey, you need to tell your wife about what is the womens role is in the home (named women's work) and the man of the castle decides what it is that is women's work duties are, warning you may get a blue touch paper moment followed by a big explosion.

 

I am now adding spirits to all my hot drinks.

Well....
I usually "tut, tut, look at the state of this thing", I then proceed to give the hoover a full strip down, clean and service. By the time I've finished that SWMBO has usually lost the will to live....and gets on with the hoovering.

Or....you could point out it's a Dyson....so not possible to "Hoover"
