Well I do have to say that I'm NOT an expert - or even a particualrly competent DIY'er. I do get by, but that's about it.

The tip for liquid soap was given to me a long time ago - soapy water may also work but, if you're using a finger, the liquid soap does, in my limited experience, work slightly better.

If you've got a significant amount of sealing/caulking to do I'd also recommend one of these :-

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Cramer-Grouting-Silicone-Profiling-Applicator/dp/B07H8K5W8D

again, used with liquid soap or soapy water, you can get really good finishes on even surfaces ... not quite so easy on jointed tile finishes!

    Good luck, guys.

Finished out Tamiya TT-02 build. Had great week of tinkering away with my youngest building it. She's definitely not a girly girl, so loves anything like this.

Wanted to test drive, but we haven't done the Lancia Delta shell yet, so made her up this one from an ice-cream tub!!!!:p

Took my exercise cycling with my 13 year old daughter today... 9.5 mile loop over Kirkby Fell... I was very impressed that she listened for once, paced herself and used the full range of her gears and cleared the 3 mile climb... proud Dad!

Repaired garden shed roof (don't do it in shorts - if you slip, it hurts ). Found bike shed floor - Bandit in corner, ZRX400 hanging from various rafters, in tidy boxes and engine soon to be on trolley/mobile workbench. Gardening done, but plants getting ordered by the other half to make sure I'm not bored. Been shopping. Had rear end and most of exhaust off the Trumpet for cleaning when the boss called me in from my 2 week holiday after 3 effing days! Someone self isolating!

Couldn't build my patio anyway as I couldn't get the stuff and my mates couldn't come round to help.

See how long my second week off lasts
Oh, and applied to NHS and volunteered for medical deliveries, etc, on bike with VBS NI

Spent 10 minutes trying scrub a dirty mark off the chrome on my back wheel, then realised it was a shadow,Doh,
it was a bit dark in the shed so that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
