New ball joints fitted on gear shift rod today, a bit fiddly as the originals are riveted on, so needed drilling out, then the cast footplate mounting needed modifications with a grinder so the nut & thread of the new ball joint didn’t foul it. Went for a ride to see if the removal of SAI & lambda sensors made any difference. Certainly less popping on over-run, but still a ‘snatchy’ throttle when first twisting it open at slowish speeds, however as long as it stops the exhausts going blue I’ll be happy, but was expecting better/smoother throttle response tbh. Gear change definitely more precise.
Hi Bobbob, nice looking ride. Seems you have all the improvements sorted. I installed a booster plug to help remove the low end snatchy throttle and it gave all acceleration a much improved push.
