I re read the posts, you have a bike that you are spending "thousands" on and maybe you should spend some of that on a "tailor made" sprocket to withstand the massive forces that your tuning and blower are going to unleash through that poor factory std sprocket and chain set ?
Really mate, you need to get a grip, you have no clue whatsoever, do ya. Your talking absolute bollocks AGAIN, this is actually getting comical now...
Yep your right you really are getting comical ! Spending huge money and you won't spend on a tailored to suit sprocket ???
WTF has it got to do with you what I spend money on. And why would I have a front sprocket specially made when Triumph already make the right size rear sprocket that I needed to do the job I wanted it to do, you cock-womble. So lets see, by your logic the bike as it is in stock form is fine with the chain and sprockets from Triumph but with the Supercharger I should be worried about the chain and sprockets no being able to cope.... Mate, if I was going to worry about anything considering the extra power is made in the combustion chambers and transfers through the pistons, rods, crank, primary drive, clutch and gearbox, the fu*king chain would be the last thing I would be worrying about.... Go away, your boring the shite out of me now.....But you probably wont and you'll insist on having the last word, so fill you boots.....
Sorry to come to this so late but I do require a little help as I, too, am interested in changing the rear sprocket on my Thrux R. I need to know where you got a chain breaker for a 525 chain and the link. I haven't done any of this since I had a 1969 BSA Rocket3 and sold in 1982. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi M1, here's a link to a variety of chain breakers for sale on Ebay.co.uk so I assume similar will be available on Ebay.com : https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2060353.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.XMotorcycle+chain+breaker/riviter.TRS0&_nkw=Motorcycle+chain+breaker/riviter&_sacat=0 The one I use was given to me but cost about £20 when new and works perfectly well. So you don't need to spend a lot.
Thank you! I have had nothing but either a drive shaft or a belt driven bike since 1982 so I’m kind of out of touch with chains.
