Thruxton backfire

    Hi just put new toga peashooter pipes on my 2011 thruxton how do I stop it backfiring any ideas ?

    Perhaps you need to download a new map from tune ecu? From what i can gather its free!

    Personally im not into all this injection technology, carbs keep it nice & simple :smile:

    I agree at least you can adjust a carb with a screwdriver

    The back fire is caused by it running rich and over fuelling.
    As pig has said have a look on the Tune ecu site and see if there is a new map or updated map for your bike.
    its does seems to be a feature of Triumph bikes as the Speed backfires a lot when you throttle off..
    My rolling road tried to tune it out but it ran better with it popping so we kept it, that and I like it.....:tongue:

    My America is a carb model & with the TORS exhaust it bangs like a shit house door in a storm on deceleration :smile:

    Just been on tune ecu fuck that looks like the backfire is staying it lets em know ya cummin anyway ha ha
