Guy Westgate is the guy who taught Guy Martin to fly a glider so he (Guy Martin) could pilot his pedal-powered aircraft. Here he (Guy Westgate) puts on a firework display while performing aerobatics over our airfield. He's flying a Polish-built MDM Fox, which is a glider that was specifically designed for aerobatics, and is stressed for +9g and -6g (I start to feel uncomfortable at +3 and -1.5)
If you haven't seen it, I can thoroughly recommend the film "FREE SOLO" which shows the first successful free solo climb of El Capitan in Yosemite, California, by Alex Hommond. It is a seriously awe inspiring 'documentary' film about a young man who appears capable of defying logic and gravity in some of his climbing! No ropes, no equipment, no backup plan or people. No fear.
Exactly that - no fear. Apparently “That kid’s amygdala isn’t firing.” ABSENCE OF FEAR: Scans compare Honnold’s brain (left) with a control subject’s (right), a rock climber of a similar age. Crosshairs mark the amygdala, a group of nuclei involved in generating fear. As both climbers look at the same arousing images, the control subject’s amygdala glows, while Honnold’s remains inert, showing no activity whatsoever.
That is beyond crazy. I still ride a unicycle and I can still hop a stair (I just don't go any higher than one stair anymore). But I cant seem to master the mountain bike bunny hop
I'd suggest that we already can after the performance against the All Blacks. Heck, they'd get it for their response to the haka!
