Hilarious. Brilliant. Insulting but in a way it’s hard (flaccid) to take offence.

 

I had an interesting night view of a well known building in Brussels - the "Atomium".

 

Not to scale. Those electrons around the nucleus would surely be half way to Mars if it were?

Edit: Sorry just calculated they would be only a mere 500 km away from a 5m orb. I got carried away.

 

I drove past it in 1969, and then it was looking very down at heel, abandoned and covered in weeds. Apparently it was only intended to last 6 months when it was built in 1958.

 

S Club 7 make me want to do the same. Just live the moment. Rachel Stevens - even the name makes me need a long cold shower and a warming brew of bromide tea.

 

Inveraray Castle

 

Wasn't that in downton abbey?

 

Just googled it as i've never watched downton abbey, and it was used as a location for the 2012 christmas episode. you get a good view of the back of the castle when you go over the hump bridge just before you get into Inveraray.

Despite having a local affection for Stan, I loved these two before I knew Stan was from Ulverston… and seeing this colourised photo is great! It reminds me that I haven’t seen the film about them!
