Hi guys, what’s everyone’s thoughts on white wall tyres? Was considering this as an option for my bobber black, but unsure if the look/keeping them white would be an issue. Any thoughts or pics would be appreciated , cheers

I think they look great, as long as they are on a bike from the 40's or 50's. Just my 2 cents

On a contrary opinion, the demo white wall Bobber Black at Woburn gets lots of admiring looks and we've sold a few white walls to Bobber owners. True you have to be careful not to use harsh cleaners so as not to rub the white off.

I love the look of them. If you like them too, go for it. Adds a bit of class. A bit like having seams up the back of your stockings ! :D

Do what the gels did during the War mate, draw a line up the back of yer leg with an eyebrow pencil. Or just accept the fact you're off kilter, just like the waiters at our club's Valentines night dinner.

Go for it. Bloody love them. If I wasn't such a tight-wad I'd have had a set on my America.

mate of mine fitted some to his 1600 british racing green cruiser they looked brilliant he told me he had a spare set, bit rich I thought spare set !!! so he set off upstairs to show me them, when he returned with both of them believe it or not they were two round rings of white rubber about 3" in width, they had to be fitted with the tyres trapping them in, I had never seen anything like this before but once fitted they looked moulded to the tyre, safety wise who knows regards the tyre sealing to the rim but he had no problems at all and still has them fitted to my knowledge,

True, but not between spring and autumn and my bike gets tucked up outwith those dates so I should be safe enough..... wishful thinking!

I had a set of those add on rings on my '59 Hillman Minx. They looked great, but when cornering hard, they caught on the road and eventually got torn off. Shame really as they did look great, and no way could you tell they were just held on by the tyre bead. Never had any problems with the tyre sealing.
