Hi, Looking at a second bike a gsxr750, it's at a dealer with 3500 miles in a 2017 plate. Really good condition, fairings look like new, new brakes, k Tec suspension upgrade, braded hoses and new tyres and new chain and sprockets. But....one of the pics shows the back tyre before being changed and it was really worn, no chicken stripes at all.....so with the chain and sprocket change etc I suspect it may have had some serious use, and odd the fairings are like new. Obviously raised questions, dealer has no idea and can't give me the previous owners details. Would you be worried? Thanks Reply Quote 1 - 1 of 1 Posts Write your reply... I apologise, we’ve had a lot of spam recently and the way it’s pasted makes it look like that! re-gixer - are you happy spannering? Could you strip and sell parts for decent price if the engine turns out knackered? If it’s a dealer, they’re supposed to offer a limited warranty… what is he offering?
Thanks, 3 months warranty been offered, part's wouldn't really cover the cost and not something I really want to do. My only thought was these are made to be ridden and bikes like that do and made for track days it also tops out at 180 so you have to go some to ride it hard! But I am with you I worry it's been raced and the fairings replaced, the odd track day is one thing, but 3000 race miles is very different.... Think I'll walk away, sad as you can't buy 750 sports bikes anymore, and 1000s are almost too fast, and I find 600s too revy
What about an older 900? An early blade (if you can get one) or one of its competition... I have no affiliation with the seller (private, so no warranty) https://www.autotrader.co.uk/bike-details/202201071115835
Or if 750 gixer is the thing... tyres on this have only been in a straight line seemingly! There are nearly always other bikes out there if you’re patient. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/bike-details/202201081137274
