Hello Gents. I’m a 55 year old lad in the USA. I currently ride a 2006 Honda VFR and I think I’m going to keep her for sports touring and 2 up with my wife.
I’ve been thinking of getting a lighter, more flickable bike for a while now. The windscreen on the VFR creates quite a bit of wind noise at my helmet and I’ve noticed that my helmet is much quieter in clean air, so I also began to consider naked bikes, to my surprise.
The bike son the running are KTM 790 Duke, Kawasaki Z900RS, and the Triumph 765 Street Triple RS or R.
So my friend had a 18 RS that he traded for a Ducati 959 Panagale, I wasn’t really interested in his bike at the time but recently I mentioned to him that I was thinking of getting a street triple and he said I would have sold you mine, but it’s for sale at the dealer where I traded it in. There it sits for about 4 months now listed for $8500 USD or 6800 pounds.
I’ve been perusing the site for a day or so and haven’t seen any seat changes or handlebar change threads, is that because the riding position and seat are comfortable?

An 18 plate RS for £6800, sounds like a bargain. I paid £6300 for my 15 plate R

I came from a sport touring bike (FJ09), I too hated the noise and buffeting from the wind screen( I tried 5 screens), decided to get naked bike to have clean air. Getting close to my 50s and love the 19 street triple RS. Take one for a test ride for sure.

Shame your not UK based as I’d have happily sold you mine. The lack of wind protection is getting on my nerves now, every time I’m home after being out on the bike I feel like I’ve been battered by the wind, takes a fair bit out of me.
Being located up in the north east of Scotland near the sea doesn’t help much but flippin Nora, when I’m up at 60-70mph+ checking the blind spot risks having my neck broken, installed the triumph flyscreen which made no difference, put on the powerbronze one which directed the wind to my neck when at speeds of 50mph+

Bike is now for sale and won’t be used much going forward
