I was a CD and vinyl guy until recently but have to admit that I got hooked on Spotify. (paying 9€ per month). If you listen on the high quality setting, the sound is outstanding (at least for 50 year old ears). And it is great to listen to an album/playlist on the stereo at home, then take the cell to the car and the music just continues. But the best part: we have a small pub nearby, just 30 seats and they do gigs with fairly unknown musicians (Celtic, Australian, U.S., etc); I am able to find 95 percent of them on Spotify, which is amazing. Bad part: the artists really get a very shitty deal from any clicked song. I try to make good by still buying CDs at the concerts. (feels weird being sorted behind the Kangaroos with 3 fannies...)
It's just an app, on a phone. Not to replace your music collection or buying CD's. I use it for music at work, in the garage or now for listening to on the bike. Have a play list with about 200 random tracks, like listening to a radio station that only plays good music and no DJ talking shite or adverts.
I downloaded the app onto my tablet and it worked fine. Downloaded two of my favorite tracks - Radar Love and Alright Now !!
