Took a weekend off work after looking at the weather forecast to go on possibly my last ride out of the year, and the weather was lovely today. I left Inverness at 11am and headed to Granton on Spey Where we stopped for an awful cup of coffee (how can a coffee shop, get coffee so wrong). Then headed out towards the Grampian transport museum in Alford Aberdeenshire going past the Lecht ski centre where the weather turned freezing and onto Alford to the museum. A great little place with a fantastic collection of bikes, cars and trucks including the trike owned by Billy Connolly and a small collection that belongs to Guy Martin, it has a coffee shop which served us good coffee. After an hour wandering around there it was back to Inverness via Dufftown where we stopped for fuel where only my triumph attracted any attention (3 other BMW GS with me) then onto Forres with me being tail end Charlie as I didn't know the route to Forres from Dufftown then the A96 straight run home to Inverness where I had the slow cooker ready with a beef stew waiting for me. Now it's a beer and watch Netflix tonight. A fantastic day out had by all
