Wow @Bikerman That cbx 1000 has to be one of the cleanest available. Ex wife used to have a superdream like that but in silver and I used to borrow it now and again to commute on. Rubbish brakes, 5hite suspension and flat power, but somehow it was a pleasing ride when thrashed and actually didn't handle bad. Now what can I say about the MV..... they make some great looking bikes but a few years ago the spare parts backup was shocking I spoke to one owner who stated he waited 7 months, yes SEVEN MONTHS, for a clutch lever after he knocked it over. That is truly rubbish for what can only really be classed as a consumable. Nice pics.
After a couple weeks of work getting El Rancho Fork Lock in shape after winter, I promised myself some wheel time. I detailed the Speedmaster on Sunday and got out today. I took 108-mile round trip to Barnegat Light at the north tip of Long Beach Island on the Jersey Shore. LBI is a barrier island with several toney little towns along the stretch. The lighthouse is the second one. It was built in the late 1850's after the original fell into the water due to erosion. It's a state park and admission is free. One can climb to the top, but I didn't do so. At 71 I probably have a limited number of steps left and I didn't want to waste any. Coast Guard on the job. Zombie Apocalypse camper - WANT!
Your Speedmaster looks great, @Fork Lock --all sparkly in the sun. Glad winter is finally over for you East Coaster, you. Our temps are starting to hit 100ยบ+. Looks like a great day of riding and sight-seeing!
Well on this day of all days, it important to remember all the heroes that did what they did all them years ago. NEVER FORGET. Our local knitters haven't.
These knitters have some amazing talent We couldn't do this over here. The end result would look like R2D2 wearing a silly hat.
