No, I seen a lid I like, a gt-air 2. But of course the design I like is a new one and over 500 quid! Maybe when it comes down to a realistic price! Thats a 4ish year old one, a Shoei NXR, very light and superb visibility, I like the visor I have on it, photochromic one, darkens to the ambient light :)

Came across this on a ride on the GS on road from Launceston to Holesworthy in the South West. There is a Triumph in the picture!. Unbelievably the dust was completely undisturbed. Looks like they have been there for years.

Day off work so took off for a cycle around local lanes. Dropped in at a seaside community known as the Black Huts. On the banks of Walney Channel with a beautiful sandy beach on one side and a pebble one on the other. Can't really tell from this angle but this hut is shaped like a boat

Walked down here many times but first time I have ridden the bumpy trail and got a weird feeling. When I was a kid we used to come here in my Dad's BSA A 65 and sidecar, and suddenly I was back there. I could feel and hear everything as the sidecar rocked over the bumps! Very strange:grinning:

Had a walk through local, ten mins walk over fields, Abbott's Wood. Historically was within the grounds of Furness Abbey but due to Henry VIII that didn't end well.
It was the site of Abbott's Wood House which was built in 1850-60s for James Ramsden.
IMG_20210714_163325462_HDR_compress83.jpg He was a major part of building up the Furness Railway which developed Barrow from a small fishing village into possibly the world's largest steel and shipbuilding town. This is all that remains
    IMG_20210714_163255961_HDR_compress70.jpg
After the house was demolished in the 60s a Nuclear bunker was built as a control centre in case things got dodgy.
A plaque gives a bit of information.

About 2 miles from centre of Barrow but so quiet and peaceful:)

Still uncharacteristically hot and sunny here in Scotland. Just back from a 150 mile trip today, out of Galloway, across Dumfriesshire into South Lanarkshire and back through the Lowther Hills by the Dalveen Pass. (The Lowther Hills, by the way, don't have nice poetic Gaelic-derived names like most of our Galloway hills. The Lowther names include Cock Hill, Rodger Law and Meikle Shag, so whoever named them was obviously a very rude person. Probably English.) Anyway, here are some photos of the road through the Pass.
