Then across via minor roads to Helmsley. Went up Chop Gate and turned round halway to Stokesley as wanted to end up at South end of that road. Not many bikes or cars about, not sure why but maybe one reason to like football
Across to Seaways via Malton and doing really well missing the rain. Gutted one of my favourite proper olde worlde nick nack shops died to the internet. It was run by a real character and had all sorts of knives, threads, fabrics etc. Moving on, some roads were wet, others dry, but we didn't ride in rain at all despite heavy dark skies. Coffee and a bite to eat then across to A1 Moto in York. Now they had a Speed Twin outside. Had a sit on it and besides the clocks angle looking wrong, I really liked it. Servicing: £150+ for an oil change doesn't sound good but the warranty to some extent ties me in. What's all that about not servicing older bikes in the summer? Sounds a bloody cheek to me.
Somebody else liked the Speed Twin as well.... Onwards to home, jet wash, lube and put to bed. 143 miles and the reworked seat got the thumbs up
Was a great day @Wessa even with a bit of rain. Over 120 bikes in formation, including reps from some “gangs” all in attendance to honour the fallen. Will definitely do it again next year
Nice ride out today with a stop over at Tintern Abbey, then on to the Steel Horse Cafe http://www.steelhorsecafe.co.uk and finally HR4K https://www.hr4k.co.uk
Called in at the IOM Motor Museum today, then onto the Southern100 Races practice this evening. A few pictures from the museum. A fine brace of Flat Tank Triumphs. Something special for our American cousins, fine Indian with what looked like nickel plated engine parts.
Had it nearly 12 months Andy Not one to shout about things I buy especially bikes what with me being a quite person
