Worst case soil bearing capacity is normaly about 1000 lbs/square foot, unless it's floating on a peat moss bog. Depth is important to keep it below the local frost line, to keep it from heaving up due to subsurface Ice formations. Have you over engineered it, i would say no, as a two post lift that is somewhat not directly connected to your existing thin concrete pad on one side. The reason i say this is few vehicles you will be lifting have a 50/50 weight distribution, and will produce an eccentric load condition not favorable to two post lift foundations. I may suggest you get some non shrink grout to go under the plate that goes from one side to the other. Must have if you have to shim up a base plate to get frame level.
