+1 for me too. Quite a good story. Most of it I knew but it filled in a few gaps in my Triumph knowledge and I’m looking forward to Norton. We saw a rotary engine stripped down but did I miss the bit about the Norton Villiers Triumph thing in the 70’s?
Aye that’s right but what I was referring to was the hook up with Norton and Villiers in an attempt to take on the Japanese after the govt bailed them out, maybe it’ll get a mention tonight.
I enjoyed that.I dont think Ive mentioned how much pleasure I get from the fact ,my bike is a Triumph.
I’m really jealous, I’d just love to see those bikes, let alone ride them, Henry Cole is a lucky lucky man
Looking at all those containers and the area Henry was riding he’s a farmer, or haulier, and pretty successful at it. Great bikes.
Really enjoyed both those episodes...in fact i enjoy most of Henry's programs i find his manner quite pleasant for a presenter...not sure how much is real or not but he comes over well, considering he is both an old Etonian and runs a very successful TV/video/film advertising company and used to have a drug habit he seems very down to earth nice guy.
Just to be clear, DD's mate Steve is not me, even though I do have a mate called Trevor. My mate Trevor has never (as far as I know) ridden a Norton. I have - it was mine. So it would seem that my mate Trevor has a mate called Steve who has ridden a Norton. The other Trevor will also (no doubt) have a mate called Steve (Spray) who has also ridden a Norton. I also (presumably) have a mate called DD, like the other Steve, who also has a mate called Trevor, as indeed do I. My Norton (Dommie 88) was a bag of shite unlike Trevor (no not that one) and Steve's (no, not that one either) which were actually pretty good and won races - often! Mine didn't. I hope that I have clarified the situation with all of the above as confusion can often be embarrassing. There may (no, not her!) be a test on all of this at some time, but not until a (much) later date when my brain has stopped hurting, I have sat quietly in a darkened, padded room for many hours - days even - and Nursey's industrial quantities of meds have fully kicked in. You have been warned, though about what I am unsure! This may be age related. Probably.
You're welcome, Jez. I think!! Ah, no. I like to think I think but probably don't. What the hell did SWMBO put in my tea??
