Yesterday I once tested a completely different type of bike for me. The Italian devil, a DUCATI DIAVEL V4. The performance data of the bike are incredible: Motor Type: V4 Granturismo, V4 - 90°, 4 valves per cylinder, counter-rotating crankshaft, Twin Pulse firing order, liquid cooled Displacement: 1,158 cc (71 cu in) Power: 168 hp (124 kW) @ 10,750 rpm Torque: 12.8 kgm (126 Nm, 93 lb ft) @ 7,500 rpm Dry weight: 211 kg (465 lb) Seat height: 790 mm (31.1 in) Front tyre: Pirelli Rosso III 120/70 ZR17 Rear tyre: Pirelli Rosso III 240/45 ZR17 Vmax: + 270km/h First impressions at standstill: - The bike looks incredible. - The sound in idle mode is impressive. - The display is a modern TFT-System and looks quite nice. - After getting on the bike you feel like an inserted magazine in a pistol. - My legs are to long for the bike. - I have to ride in a small knee angle. - The seat is comfortable. Riding: - The bike is nearly brand new (1.500 km), but the brakes on the front wheel squeak and creak. - You can hear mechanical noises when steering in. - The acceleration is incredible! - 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds is possible! - At 5.000 rpm a hell of a spectacle breaks out. The sound multiplies and the boost corresponds to the takeoff of a fighter plane. - Unbelievable!!! - The quickshifter works properly. It was a really interesting session for me, but as I mentioned before, my legs are to long to ride with the bike comfortable. Price here in Austria: EURO 33.000.- (USD: 35.870.-/GBP: 25.820.-) In the following some more impressions.
Thanks @Markus, interesting to hear your opinions on the bike. Are you looking for another bike or just curious about this one?
I wanted to try this special bike. Depending on some offers on the bike market I will change my Honda to an other bike in the near future.
