Bees are sociable little beggars really. I was mowing the front lawn at Yorkie towers yesterday and we have a low growing ground cover plant, don't know what it's called, but it gets full of bees and as I rode past Forrest Gump style on the mower they just took to flight then quickly settled back to their activities after I'd passed. Wasps would have chased me till they caught up and attacked, they have no scruples at all.

Hi Tiglet, I was taking a break drinking a coffee in the covered area in front of my workshop when I was startled by a Starling flying out from behind a stack of wood on a shelf, found that there is a nest in there with a bird sitting on it. Now there is an excuse not to do anymore work near there for a while, and I have an abandoned wasp nest in the bike shed, about the size of a golf ball, proper "Springwatch" round here.

I evicted a wood pigeon today who was just starting to build a nest. It was 6ft from my bedroom window and it seems the rest of his family are always up at 05.00 talking to each other ..... I don’t need that thanks. The Vicar lives next door and he has lots of hedges around his place ....
