    Day 8/9:
Today we made a complete recreation day. In the morning we surrounded the complete bay of Cavtat. It was a great 2 hours walk. After that we enjoyed some refreshments in a local bakery. Refreshed we walked then to one of the lovely places in the bay and swam and snorkeld again. This time I was really surprised. I found an octopus which tried to hide from some naughty fish which disturbed him while his hunt. This was a great experience for me. I never saw an octopus in it's naturally habitat. I only saw them on markets , on TV or in aquariums. But this was not the only surprise. I also saw a small kind of swordfish or sea needle.
Afterwards we bought us some more delicious local food and "climbed" up the hill to our apartment again.
In the late afternoon we packed our stuff for our tomorrows long run to our home.
    In the following some impressions.;)

Hi @Markus I’m a bit late to this thread. Another stunning tour report with your very special descriptions of the ares you have passed through, supported by some amazing photographs.
A couple of your stops we have been to on holiday in the passed Kotor and Cavtat. Both beautiful places and the people were amazingly friendly. :)

    Day 9/9:
We made it! We are back home again.:)
Today's tour was extreme. Start was at 0630 in Cavtat/Croatia. Then we crossed complete Croatia from the South to the North, passed parts of Hungary and some parts of Austria. Until lunch time it was wonderful to ride. First the coastline up to Split and then through the terrific mountainous areas of Croatia. At lunch time the temperature went up to 33 degree celsius again.
At the Croatian fuel stations we had some unbelievable experiences. Up to 12 petrol pumps were available, but they had only one cash desk opened. You can imagine the enormous queues at the petrol pumps and at the only cash desk. In sum we spent at two stops about 1 unplanned hour with waiting.:(
In sum we rode 943 km in nearly 10 hours of riding time and our complete tour took us 12 hours.
Now we are glad to be safe at home again.

    Conclusion of this Balkan tour:
Albania is also interesting for riding there with a bike. But you must be aware that also in big towns after the second corner suddenly the rode with asphalt may change to a motocross area. When it is dry it is not really a problem. But after some rain you will be caught in mud!:p
The people there are very friendly and handsome.
Restaurants and bakeries offer great food for everyone's taste. The prices are cheap to moderate.
Accommodations are available for every purse.
The beaches and the sea were great.

In total we did 2.215 km and had many great experiences.
I hope you enjoyed my daily reports. Please mind some typo issues. I wrote every thread with may smartphone.
    :)
