My Speed Triple has to go into the dealers on Friday for some warranty work, details of which I'll share when it's all completed.
The dealer has managed too fit me in a short notice, but will need the bike all day. I've got one short appointment in town, but other than that i'll be kicking my heels for the day so i thought I'd tease myself with a test ride or two. The question is what to try?
I'm very happy with the S3x and if i were buying a new bike anytime soon I think i'd probably go for the same again. I'd quite like to try a Tiger 800XCA or maybe the Yamaha MT10
Anything else that warrants a go?

Depends how far out of your normal you are willing to try.
Previously I always bought sports tourers.
Then I tried the Thunderbird due to being vertically challenged.
Loved it didn't feel as though I was perched up in the clouds on a bike.
So I would suggest going for something you wouldn't normally consider just to see.

    Warranty work!
Mine is in for repairs at the moment and I am collecting it tomorrow. If yours is the new Speed Triple it would be good to know what is being looked at so I can get my garage to check while it is in there

My mate swears by the MT10,,, :)

I would try something different to what you normally ride
    You might be surprised
    Or horrified

It really does depend on what type of riding you do/want to do in the future. Like Gary M I used to have adventure and sports touring bikes, I bought my Thunderbird LT and the new street twin last year and I have the best of both riding worlds; I love them both for the different rides that they provide.

    Don't try any!!!!!!!
After buying the Speed, I tried a Tiger Sport and couldn't get off it. So I ended up buying one.....thought I'd use it for commuting on the bumpy roads, and keep the Speed for weekend fun.
I'm now taking in the Tiger for its first 500m service on Saturday and they are lending me another bike....hope its crap!

Street triple RS, had the luxury of trying both the speed and the street RS before deciding one the speed.

Was going to swap my GSX S1000 for the street RS it was that good, amazing machine, but it was the torque and extra power the Speed possessed that won me over
