Hi, The Tacho on my 95 TBird has developed a very erratic mind of its own. Does any one have experience of swapping one of these out. Fowlers tell me that it is an obsolete part but if I can remove it, a refurb at a specialist repairer looks to be an option?

hi dont know if this info is any use at all, depends if your engine runs well or not. The take off for the tacho is from cylinder number one coil I believe, you could try swapping a coil over. But only if the engine isnt running smoothly or just a touch lumpy, if it is running well leave it alone.
