Cant see anything else, wires just go back into loom . .

Sounds like a problem further up the loom, can you test the continuity of the wires, from sidestand switch back to source?
You got a multimeter to test?

If pulling the switch and permenantly wiring them together doesn't work, sounds to me like a break in the wiring further up the supply / return.

    Just a guess.

Cant see anything else, wires just go back into loom . . . Ive just been trying different things, seems theres no power in the grey cable ? Lets me start it, runs no problem . . Tap into gear and it cuts out . ..the main fuses are ok, is there another fuse anywhere that could be causing the cut out . . Help . .

There will be no power, from the look of the wiring diagram, it looks like the switch provides an earth back to the ignition.

If wiring has broken between the switch and the ignition, or switch to earth, then bike will cut out? Just best guess.

Are you able to check continuity?
