The PSA high false positives requiring the unpleasant biopsy, so many doctors do not push it.
I have had it annually since 50, and once you have the first blood test you have a base line they can compare to,
Any variation would require digital check and then biopsy route if still concern.
Best to get PSA early and regular IMO, but ask your own doctor.

 

Only worry if when asking the doctor where to put you pants, he says next to mine recommendation for rectal camera exam is also great if funded or you can afford it. Going this year (55) while I still have insurance, as pollip removal can ward off cancerous growths.
