Mr T, I think you may have the solution. Looking at your pictures I would say that it is an Arrows link pipe for sure. I did however follow the Evotech on line fitting instructions that made no mention of removing a rubber gasket to ensure metal on metal fitting. I will revisit it in the week but if the gasket is "firm" that could make the difference.

    Amazing. Problem is solved!

I originally tried the gasket because I thought it would be better with, rather than without, but it definitely needs to be ditched (along with the metal bit that goes with it).

    Here it is for posterity:

When you fit without the gasket, everything will slot into place - millimetre perfect :)

Did you refit the rubber gasket it's a thick block that you don't use with the evotech

If you didn't read all the posts, you did a far better job at arriving at a solution than I did. That has to be acknowledged :)

I've got an extra installation tip - as you tighten up the four bolts that secure the tidy to the bike, make sure you don't trap any wires (like the thin tail light wires). It will squash them flat or even shear them. Don't ask how I know that.

Enjoy your picking-up-your-new-bike experience tomorrow - very exciting indeed!

I think I am the only customer with the R&G Tail Tidy who thinks it is just fine. Our license plates are smaller here in the states and the tail light has integrated blinkers. Evotech was not on offer when I bought it and installed it.

Hi, I've just fitted my Evotech and the wires have to run through the central channel and also not get trapped between the tidy and the bike when you bolt them together, if any wire is caught between the two the indicators wont clear your carbon . Had a bit of this trouble while fettling mine but sorted it. You've probably figured it out by now though.
    Cheers, Gaz

Evotech and R&G holders all look great
But where do you source your mini number plates?

eBay mate. They are about £8 and are pretty well made. I've had no issues with mine.

I got mine from eBay, they're classed as show plates as they are not the official size.

I use this seller - the plates are slightly more expensive because they are clear acrylic over the number plate film, rather than film stuck on top of the acrylic plate. Make sure you have bolts though, because they send fixing pads, which are as good as useless.

They are fast delivery and you can specify exactly what you want when you pay - for example:

    Motorcycle REAR - 8" x 6”
    STANDARD YELLOW
    Registration: AA11 AAA
    Font: 3D HI LINE
    Border colour: Black 1mm

I prefer not to expose my entire rear end on the internet - so here's a cheeky glimpse, for what it's worth.
