    That might be true, although it is common practice in the car industry today. Even Lamborghini uses parts from various other manufacturers. Why should that be different with motorcycles? It's usually easier and cheaper not to reinvent the wheel. ;)

    Cleaned up the foot rests , gear and brake assembly (took the opportunity to put a repair kit in the rear master cylinder). Also cleaned up and painted the oil cooler with heat resistant paint. DIdnt quite get the finish I was after . The bent fins straightened up ok but some of the Ally had started to fur up and was difficult to prep it without damaging anything.

    Well after two more house moves I can finally start rebuilding the 595 again... just need to find all the removal boxes now...
