Hi folks I hope this isn't toooo naughty putting a thread in the ST bit as well as having one in Technical Help. I've had my Speedy a week and done a hundred or so miles on it using whatever fuel was in it and I topped it up with Super Unleaded from T***o. Aside from finding a missing relay which I have replaced with a Halfords one (hoping it's right- 12v 30a is the only spec I went by) And the exhaust can mounting bolt vanishing ?? (New parts on order) When I turn the ignition on the EML light and neutral light are on but I have no power to anything else. Relays seem to click and the Temp Gauge needle has shot round to the right and stayed there ??? At the moment I'm checking all the connectors and wiring I can see for obvious stuff like chafing, breaks or connections not being tight. A bit clueless to be honest. Could I use a cheapy OBD II reader to investigate codes etc? My last resort is sending it back to the shop I bought it from and letting them have a look but that's a pain Many thanks to the guys that have already helped and TIA for any further assistance. Hi and welcome. You should at least speak to the shop you bought it from for advice. It should have 3 months guarantee.
Cheers Linx I'll be in touch with them if my initial search comes up with nothing. I do like things simple. If something is obvious that would be great. It's a pain getting the bike back to them but if needs must. I just wondered if any other ST owner had come across anything like what I described. I'll update as I go
