Hi All I have just acquired a 2011 T100 efi having been in storage 3+ years Trying to re-commission it now Changed fuel Renewed battery Lubed bores Electrics all working, fuel pump etc. Spins over ok on starter But no "go" ? Has the bad old fuel blocked something ? seems not getting through to injectors ? No fuel smell at pipes . Any ideas please. ... T
Battery I know you say you’ve done it but it MUST have at least 12.6 volts otherwise the ECU just won’t let it start
Battery has just been fitted brand new and i have jumper leads running off it from car battery to help boost it
Blocked injectors? If its getting the fuel pump to prime (and get pressure) then I suppose its that as there’s no smell of fuel. If was no spark, then it'd probably smell of fuel i suppose at the exhaust end. Put a smidge of petrol in the bores and try to start it?
Blocked injectors from old fuel varnish is my guess. The injector actuator is a solenoid powered up by the ECU. I would try carb cleaner via the fuel line at the throttle body (plugs out) and crank the engine to open the solenoids.
I rekon so,cant think of any other thing , fuel pump is working. can the injector be removed in situ , just popped the cover off to have look. Funny, when i first had look, i took the float bowl off ,,,, Derrrrr
I'd go along with @Callumity, but a couple of weird Triumph things I've come across- have you tried starting with side stand up? My mate's Trident spun very strongly but refused to fire. Side stand up, fired first prod. go figure! And check your headlamp-on some models like my Speed Triple bike won't start with headlamp out. Check bulb and fuse. To be fair I don't think it will spin on the starter mind but I can't remember. Good luck anyhow
I am going out on a limb here... Did you charge up the new battery before putting in the bike? A lot of "new battery" are not charged up at all. Even if you have jumper connected, it might not have enough juice right away to initiate a start...
Ive done it ! Either it wasnt in neutral ... Derrrr ! Or the direct wiring from battery to injector, touching the contacts making the injector open/close few times to free them off. Ill never know now if was simply not in neutral or sticky injectors .... oh well , off to the MOT station next new year ... It runs a dream now !
