    I'm pretty sure that the hiss is just the throttle servos holding their positions.

    You can easily confirm this by just twisting the throttle. This commands the servos to move, so the hissing noise stops (or at least changes). It's entirely normal.

    Welcome aboard. If the hiss persists beyond a few seconds after turning the key then get it along to a dealer for a health check, otherwise it's normal.
