Hey guys - can the immobiliser on a Sprint be bypassed in any way? Bike got robbed last night and I’m just trying to narrow the search field...

What age of bike is it? Is the immobiliser factory or after-market?

Hey Hughsie, firstly sorry to hear about your bike been stolen. Answer to your question, yes fairly easily. For obvious reasons I am not going to elaborate but it can be done by thieving a holes who don't care about your or my pride and joy and the void and headaches it leaves when taken. Most anti theft devices only buy's time, give them enough and they will take it. Again sorry to hear.

    Round your way!
Can confirm yes, it can be bypassed. Had a 66 plate Street Triple, removed, started and wrecked...... fact of life I'm afraid. Little scrotes like shiny new things!

Plenty of information on google ( videos too ) on how to bypass it.
Why do we tell people on bikeforums etc how to bypass the things.
Or make videos of how to do it, just helps the little scoots!
    So yes it can be.
Hope you get your bike back soon.

Thanks lads. Wasn't looking for details GaryM btw.

It was chained to a steel frame which was bolted into concrete.
Alarm, immobiliser and kept in a 'secure' underground car park.
    2010 model.
Scrotes reefed the steel frame out of the ground after not being able to break the lock. They then lifted it into a waiting people-carrier.
Was just hoping the immobiliser might end any chance of them getting it started.

I'd cut their thumbs off (makes it difficult to twist the throttle:mad:), and tattoo their foreheads "Thief"....... and plenty more!

    Bike found lads!!

They've barrelled the ignition apparently - haven't got a chance to see it myself yet so not sure what other damage is done.
Delighted it was recovered though! Thought it'd be found on a bonfire tbh!

Any ideas where I could source a new ignition block for starters!?
