Sprockets - More Teeth On Rear = Faster Acceleration+ Top Speed?

    I had a tooth less on my Sprint St 1050, and went back to the factory sprocket.
    For my use, it's a better match to ride on the torque. And on a 125 HP bike for a normal road use, acceleration is no an issue, and for the one that prefers smaller sprocket, losing 6/7mph on an over 160mph top speed is not something important.
    imho sprocket size is more a personal/usage choice more than a performance choice
