Ok new tank on,carbs cleaned and runs a treat all the lights and blinkers wired up Mot booked for Saturday, wish me luck. I'm already grinning like a Cheshire cat

Well the tester wasn't deaf, the bloke was a total nurd so I've resorted back to these for the re test, "honestly their staying on there guvnor"
Yup I could cut them in half take all the guts out of them and drill out my ear drums, that should do it
Well the guy at the mot centre has made me so paranoid about the noise that I've been out all day noise testing and the result is. ..f##* him the pipes are ok
Quick update on the rusty tank. 3 causes cheap bike cover. Dodgy seal on the tank cap and blocked over flow pipe causing water leaking from dodgy seal into tank. Spent most of the afternoon cleaning over flow pipe. .sorted
Hi, I re- read your whole post. You say you want to re jet. You don't need to, jetting is correct from the factory! It's just the time lag caused by factory setting's in the vacuum bypass ports !! They are TOO small... Drill them out a smidgen lift needles a few thou' and test ride.. the difference will surprise you, and it will only cost you an hour's labour ! I did this on a 94 trident with K&N filter and a gutted out 3 into 1 Exhaust . it would Mono in first 3 gears off the throttle ! No clutching it up !!! Just twist the wrist and up and away, or keep it down and blitz most std bikes off the line...!
