Hi, getting a little bit flustered today. When I 'grabbed' my Speedmaster before they shut the doors it was in solo seat 'Maverick' mode.
Today I am trying to work out how to put the pillion seat on and grab rails etc etc.
All I have to go on is a Haines manual which is not offering up any enlightenment at the moment. I have a small bag with screws and spacers in it but no instructions.
The grab bar support rail fits between the side support plate and the mud guard which is worrying as I don't want to scratch the mud guard.
Anyone know where these bits go? Torques would be handy too ...thanks

The second photo shows some hex screws with flange bits on them, I take it 2 are for the pillion seat and 2 are for the back of the grab rail. 2 have longer threads than the others anyone know which ones for which and torques?

I am guesding the longer flanged screws are for the pillion seat. The shorter ones for the rear grab rail to mud guard screws and the 2 little screws are for the inner black side plates although they are still on with similar screws already in.

And while I'm on it a pillion grab strap, can't see anywhere that it connects to?

I take it you have the black side finishers on your bike
I never bought them I just painted my chrome ones with that peel able black paint :)
I remember making spacers with washers :)
Picture of your bike would help

Ok this first picture I have no idea what these are for
Not something I recognise at all  08AA728A-DF35-4197-90D4-AE4982DB534F.jpeg this second picture on the left is what you need to put the rail on :)
On the rail in your picture the cover bolt goes through the forward holes on both sides :)
Just put these on with your fingers for lining up :)
Then nip up the rear ones with the spacers in :)
Remove the forward bolt and put the finishing covers back on :)
    Job done
Don’t know torque settings sorry  1CE91D3D-3F38-49FB-9076-02E8ABFD35C1.jpeg The two on the right are for the pillion seat at the back of the bike :)
The seat has a mounting lug at the front which goes underneath the riders seat and is held on with a button head Allen bolt :)
How many side finishers do you have?
Because they are different depending on wether you have the rail fitted or not
That’s why I had to mess around with spacers on my bike because I didn’t get the Triumph ones that you’re supposed to get when removing the rail

Thanks @dilligaf, yes the screws on the right were for the seat and I think the other shorter ones are to hold the rear fixed bracket to the mud guard? I have put this on using the shouldered spacer to go underneath the grab rail bracket..??...not sure if this is correct yet!
    I have 3 side plates..
    1. Is a black finisher for when the solo seat is on and no rails.
Obviously I won't be using this but the large torx screws will still be needed.
    2. Is another black finisher that covers the other 3rd and final black finisher, obviously the chrome side finisher goes on top of all these....
The parts in the packets ..the double side by side holes brackets correspond to the 2 upper elongated holes on the chrome hand rails.

The 1st picture is of the rear fixed grab rail bracket on the mud guard..I put the collars underneath, I hope this is right?
I know that you don't have your SM anymore so don't worry if you cant remember, I'm appreciate your time on Easter Sunday anyway mate. I will play around with it all a bit tomorrow. Its just the bits in the bags I am not sure about.
They must fit on the outside of the inner black side rail I guess...2 screws each side with the pink thread lock?

I have 3 pix below showing main rail (grab removed) and seat bolts (holding guard protector). That just leaves the 2 large bolts on the left of your pic to retain the rear mount.
    Hope that helps

@Dartplayer thanks mate, Could you tell me if the rail at the back is flush to the mudguard, you know where the chrome rail fixes on behind the back brake light by 2 holes on a fixed bracket.I have used the collared spacers to separate the rail from the mud guard but not sure if this is correct?

Thanks dillifaf, It didn't look right, not enough purchase for such an important part.
I was hoping this would be a relatively quick swap over from solo ( no rails/luggage) to solo ( single rail/ luggage) to pillion with rails/ grab & luggage.
I'm sure once I get the hang of it...so many bloody side plates!....anyone know how or where the pillion seat grab strap fixes on?

To the two sets of two bolts on the side. My pic shows them with my Kriega straps.
