I need to take the mirrors off my Speed Twin to fit some grip puppies, is there some kind of trick to ensure when you put them back on the bike you get them both at the same angle they came at, worried they won't be symmetrical. Thanks in advance
Surely you adjust each mirror when you're on the bike, so they work for you, regardless of whether they are symmetrical? I've got bar ends on my Street Twin and they're certainly not symmetrical, close but not exact. They're adjusted forward/back, side to side, tilted (whatever you want to call it) so that I can see behind and it's a different angle on each side. So bang 'em back on, sit on the bike and set them in the best position, independently.
Hmm, I'm not sure there is a way to do it other than by eye, at least there isn't on my Street Twin. No doubt someone on here will have used a protractor (that's the semi-circular plastic thing us older peeps used in maths) or something to set theirs up.
Fitted puppies to my Speed Twin and just did one at a time to ensure angles were the same you could put a little reference line with tippex before unscrewing I guess.
grow up. your the one telling people to fuck of if you can't adjust a pair of mirrors on your own you have to be a right retard
