My first post ! Close to buying a speed triple r never had a bike with ohelins suspension will it need servicing or periodically rebuilding? Not too keen on grey but I can live with that ! Any advice at all would be great , Billy
Hi Billy and welcome in. Re your question about Ohlins suspenders : treat them normally nothing special required. Their advantage is that as they age in years to come they can be rebuilt, but no rush to do that just yet
Try the "s" before you buy the "r" the suspension on the "s" is much better for road riding and that'll give you some pennies for some trick must have bits like a quick shifter and a aftermarket zorst also you can get a black one!!
Hmm more to think about this decision isn't getting any easier ! Generally I only have black bike's ooh err ! been on holiday for a few days and thought I'd come to a decision not so sure now !
Hi Billy, welcome in ! The dealer you purchase from if not a private sale should be able to dial it in for you, it's definitely worth it and does make a difference.
Welcome mate. Don't be a stranger, this is a great place to pass the time talking bollox and for getting good informed help too.
Ok I've got the bike home and just need to get some miles on it now ! Feels much smaller , nimble and very different makes my old c b 1300 feel like a big floaty barge ! Any advice on extras !? Does the triumph radiator cover protect the oil cooler too ? Crash brings ,r n g do they fit ok ? Tail tidy ?
Evotech do a nice range of accessories as well as an oil cooler grill, they also do the best tail tidy, R&G are also one of the best for crash protection.
Welcome mate! I've got the speed s with triumph oil protector and rad protector, they are separate items, evotech do them too. I've got evotech crash bungs and both wheel protectors and levers, all fit spot on and look great
Thanks everyone , I've got evotech stuff on my nc 700 I use for work so I know it's good stuff and r n g is the way to go for crash protection ,any advice on a bigger fly screen ? Needs to be black
