Has anyone managed to remove their handlebar switches ? Manual says you need a special tool, wondered if any has managed without it ?
I have not removed mine yet (Speed Triple RS) but it seems they are held in place by a plastic clip attached to the handlebar. The Triumph special tool is inserted into a slot in the switch cube until a click is heard and the cube is released and can be slid off the bar after removing grips etc. The screws should not be loosened. The wiring is plugged directly into the switch cube secured with a cable tie. I think it is possible to use a flat blade screwdriver instead of the Triumph tool?
