I have ordered a 2023 1200rs in orange i am led to believe you can have a choice of tyres the pirelli supercorsa 3 or the Metzler k3 from opinion what is the best please! Also what accessories would I benefit from?
Having used both for years I have found the following, the Supercorsa's don't last as long as the RRs, both offer the same levels of grip, the RRs take slightly longer to warm up, that said for road riding there is little difference, both offer good grip in wet conditions providing you ride to said conditions (despite what you may hear otherwise). The RRs will increase the ride height slightly over the Supercorsa's, but not enough so shorter leg riders would struggle with both feet down. The Supercorsa's will last around a thousand miles less than the RRs, ride spirited and the Supercorsa's will need renewing before three thousand miles. Personally, I would go with the RRs and I can't fault them at all, that's all I run now, a set of Supercorsa's on my bike originally only lasted two thousand miles, the RRs are a little cheaper to buy than the Supercorsa's, although for me I factor in tyre costs as you would anything else.
