Definitely not the sw update as it’s definitely a major step backwards imo. However, having the satnav is quite nice so as it’s got to be done to get it, it’s 50/50. However, everything is just too small on the display now (heated grip icon, cruise icon, fuel gauge etc). Not really an answer I know but I’ve only been 30 miles with it (18 of them actually working…) so I’ll give it time to see.
Hello Neal, Is there any way of just connect the system to the navigation and not calls\music as you mentioned please? In my RS1200 i could only pared the phone\music (wich i don´t care to be honest, saem opinion as yours) but what i really want is the nav system running like yours Iphone in my case. Any tips would be welcome. Thanks in advance for all the help. Regards, Filipe
Hi Filipe, As far as I know there isn’t any separate pairing for the different functions. Once you have the phone paired you have access to everything - nav, phone, music & GoPro. You just select which you want to use via the bike screen menu. Scroll down to the Bluetooth option and then they all appear on the right of the screen. For the Navigation, you need to have downloaded the MyTriumph app onto your phone and you enter your route via that. One you get to the bike and the phone has paired, just select Navigation from the Bluetooth menu and the directions pop on on your bike screen. Once the navigation is showing you can change the layout using the ‘joystick’ that you use to select the various menus. My phone is a Nokia Android and it all works quite well. I’ve never tried it with an iPhone.
Hi there! Yes, there are definitely 2 separate Bluetooth connections for an iPhone. As you say, android is only one (and way easier!) Unfortunately, they are both known as speed triple as default.
I guess my problem is being a iphone :| . . . maybe some kind of firmware or update at the triumph app solve this problem\issue. Thanks for all the info and help
I’ve got 2 iPhones connected and working. You really need to follow the instructions on the triumph app and then the second connection asks for permission on the bike display and that enables satnav
I've got an iphone xr and 12 pro max and they are both on the latest sw. You really do have to keep trying AND make sure that my triumph app has access to bluetooth in settings (goto settings and scroll down to my triumph app and turn ON bluetooth. It doesn't come on by itself. If it doesn’t work, delete the connection on the phone and bike and then start again. Also, add the bike via the "add via Bluetooth " option in the app. If you enter it via vin, it doesn’t work (so he said)!!
Awesome tips. Thanks again. Will try all those tips and will come later!. . .hope with good news. . .for me
And, you connect to the phone via the BIKE, and not the other way around. The bike is the HUB and everything is done via the bike. That really is very important.
I would blame Apple rather than Triumph for this situation. I do think that Apple make everything deliberately hard if you have to try and link an Apple device to anything not made by Apple. I bet if they made a motorbike, your iPhone would connect with it seemlessly!
Hello I tried the various ways you suggested and nothing In the meantime the bike was putting some extras in the concession and they updated the TFT. I tried again and finally everything works a hundred percent. I did as you suggested and it was resolved. Grateful for the help. Thanks. Have a nice week. Regards,
Brilliant! Glad it all worked out. Tbh, it's not exactly easy as i'm sure you would agree. Have a nice Christmas etc!
