Yeah we've all experiencend it. Crossfire/320 SLK back two plugs passenger side. 3 hours/blood/cursing to get them changed. Dealers service records indicated they were changed at 60K miles BULLSHIT. They were OEM and .039" gap had eroded to .052". Next up back plugs driver's side, which looks slightly easier.
Two rear plugs on driver's side took about 1.5 hours excluding beer breaks, they were only .044". Forum super mechanic claims he can do all 12 plugs in 20 minutes, I think he's missing a zero. Only 8 left. One plug one beer
Just did 4 more plugs on driver's side in one hour one beer, dropped a plug and it didn't hit the ground. Stopping for the night, except to drink beer. Only 4 left.
