Don’t know about you lot, but Ry Cooder is one of those artists that come in from the side, just as you’d forgotten about them, and they totally nail it for you! If you don’t know his work, then go and use the sieve of an open mind and you’ll pluck out some beauties!!!

Just watched a fantastic documentary about Buddy Guy and the blues on Sky Arts.
What a legend, and without heroes like him the music world would be a great deal poorer.

A bit subjective really… how do you choose “truly best”? What is Rock n Roll? It’s a great album (along with their first, but that was ‘89) that sits happily amongst its peers… depends who is choosing and what mood they are in that day!
