Well done @capt Although I’ve used my modified tow bar taken from my BPOS it was a bit of a rush job to get it ready for the Yorkshire pudding rally I quickly extended it and had to bend it into shape Using it again this coming weekend for the Stormin the castle rally then it will be removed Taking my time with this one and gonna get passenger foot boards fitted as well as a powder coat finish so hopefully achieving a more professional look/finish No cigar though even though you deserve one I’m not sending one to Western Australia
Actually, joking aside I’m looking forward to the finished article. At least it’s not bloody wiggly amps you’re dealing with this time.
Unfortunately wiggly amps are gonna have to be done again But I’ve made a note of the wiring colours etc so shouldn’t be too much of a problem At the moment the wiring is a bit amateur and I want a more professional quick release plug/socket system that can be tucked away out of sight when I remove the tow bar
As I have removed the battery from the standard position, I can use that space to put coiled up trailer coupling wire, I've cut and old battery apart so itsi an open topped box ' If I want solo seat and tow hitch off !
Thanks Capt from all Triumph Forum Members you've saved us all Would be nice to still get an idea how it sits and exactly how its ganna work,
I don’t do plans plans go wrong I’m more of a seat of the pants visionary It’s all in my head....pickled with Jack Daniels But it’ll work
Well I'm away to my rally this weekend starting on Thursday yes thats correct Dilli Thursday, Happy days
Hey Dilli , when you setup rear passenger foot boards consider this, put a few degrees of backwards lean, this is so your wife doesn't slide forward if you brake hard ! As foot boards don't conform to the arch/heel , passenger's feet may not grip the same as on pegs. Cheers capt.
Have had to delay this again as I’m going to another rally this weekend coming Spat out of Hull 14th-16th September in Helmsley Yorkshire Gonna be Monday the 17th before I can even think about it Depends on what’s happening at work
And we’re up and running again Actually been a bit busy at work for a change but I brought these home tonight and removed the passenger foot rests Fitted these so I could take some measurements and hopefully be able to make a start on tow bar framework at work tomorrow
