If Triumph can do it so can I
Gonna make a back rest to go with the rack that I made in something for CERBERUS part two
However I have set myself the challenge of making an adjustable one
@SleepyOwl mate if you could do me a big favour and measure the range of movement that the back rest has on your GT it would be much appreciated

 

Cheers mate and if I’m reading this correctly it has 5cm of travel

I’m in charge
Part two is basically finished apart from some captivated nuts that need to be tack welded in place to hold hold part three
Until I make part three I don’t know where they go

 

Found some 1” angle iron and thought I’d make a start Should sit nicely when it’s all done

 

Can’t be 100% sure
But it might have a range of 8cm
Totally unnecessary but I’ve challenged myself to make an adjustable one so I’m gonna go for it

 

This is my supply for any fabrication work I’m doing at the moment
The piece with rounded off corners was already like that and was left over from previous projects

 

When I was cleaning out my garage I used my angle grinder and ground off the lever system on a cantilever toolbox
I used the trays to make wall mounted bins and those were left over
They’re not very big though
