Make me laugh that people make such a fuss about a little bit of cat crap...you clear up great steaming lumps of dog crap and large pools of piss (equally noxious) after your dog but balk at cat crap.

I think the bell is a great idea, but some birds are just daft. My dog's tags jangle pretty loudly but she still manages to have a snack of dove or grackle now and again. I just figure she is culling out the weak/stupid birds. The population of those birds are near nuisance level anyway around here.

Maybe time to close this thread as it has not served its purpose and is now just deteriorating into a rant about felines...shame certain other subjects dont arouse the same kind of injustice...but I'll say no more as its now pointless...just a shame that there are some that take things a little further than being vocal.

I reckon @Tricky-Dicky you have exposed a real hot topic of hate, from people who do suffer with cats digging up their gardens or just leaving their crap on lawns. We have grand children that use our garden on a regular basis and before they come I have to clear away this shite or the outcome is not very pleaseant or healthy for them. I don't hate cats, but I do get very angry that owners just let them run wild and then wonder why people get upset about them.

Are bikers generally Dog lovers? New hot topic of conversation.

Certainly I used to know a fellow who owned a kennels/cattery. He took care of the dogs and hated the cats and his wife took care of the cats and hated the dogs. I wonder if they themselves fought like cats and dogs behind closed doors :)

You never know, you might be. I think you would certainly be entitled to compensation at the very least. As they are not classed as wild animals their owners are responsible for any damages they may cause.

Hmmm.... I think you should see a lawyer. The farmer is definitely not allowed to shoot your girls anywhere and especially not on your own property. Of course the other option is to wait until after dark and make his cattle and sheep disappear in the night. I'm sure you could find a market for them.

The best thing to do if these ‘Responsible’ pet owners turn a blind eye and think that it’s ok for their pet to shit in your garden is to scoop it up and post it through their letter box onto their best Axminster.

After all it does belong to them.

    It does cure the problem.

Even if you have negative views regarding cats brought about by them shitting in your garden or because they catch birds, no one deserves to have their pet shot. I find small noisy children annoying - :D:D

Oh neighbouring children now they are a definite nuisance, I could have happily murdered my neighbours children during lockdown. Out bouncing on their trampoline from eight in the morning to eight at night with constant screaming and shouting.
