This is probably aimed at pig as I know he is a guru re cleaning products... But I anyone can add some thoughts It would be appreciated...

    Basically is it worth it...

Just bought a new jet wash and it came with a number of attachments..
It seems to have a snow foam attachment fairly basic but seems to do the job....(I stuck some car cleaner in the bottle and it foamed up)
Is it worth me purchasing some actual snow foam mix...seen some cheapish stuff on eBay but have never really used it....

    Item. https://wap.ebay.co.uk/Member/F/ViewItem.aspx?aid=271213448833&emvAD=768x928&emvcc=0&nbcol=0%7Cnull

    Cheers

Snow foam is a good product & its best to use it as a pre-wash.

Spray bike/car with water first to remove lose dirt & debris then apply the snow foam with your pressure washer lance. Leave the snow foam to break down the dirt then rinse with clean water, then you can shampoo as normal with a wash mitt or sponge. If you dont loosen & remove the dirt first with snow foam or similar products & a clean rinse then you risk getting scratches or swirl marks in the paint by just shampooing with the wash mitt or sponge.

Snow foam will not remove specs of tar though so you will still need a suitable tar & glue type remover for this.

Cool I have traffic film remover and other pre wash sprays which I normally use but thought if I have the SF attachment I may as well make use of it.... Will buy the SF as its a pretty good deal and quite cheap..and if it's no good at least I have not blown too much cash...

I snow foam the bike at least once per week and its awesome, it's a great way to give the bike a quick clean before a bucket wash so it stops wiping all the dirt, grit and flies over lovely smooth paint. These are the steps I follow,
1, muck off (or equivalent depending what's on offer!)
2, snow foam (currently using clb candy fluff)
    3, rinse
4, repeat above if still dirty
5, wash with 2 bucket method
    6, rinse
7, dry with clean microfibre towels
Then once every now and again
8, glase (poorboys black hole glase or equivalent)
9, hard wax by hand (currently dodo juice banana armour)
10, take it out and get it covered in fles and start again!!!

Thats a lot of cleaning, Spanky, temted to say you must have some issues, but I wont go there:wink:
I clean my bike, but compared to you I just wet it, then ride it... Not sure if Im impressed with you or embarrassed by me:eek:
I only polish the paint occasionally, dont think it needs it....
Might have to rethink this cleaning lark...

I must admit that's only now and again I do the full works its normally just a snow foam, wash and dry takes about 10/15 mins now max. Its worth keeping the way topped up every few months just to make it easier to wash.

Screwball I would really recommend a snow foam lance though, joking aside and all that they are really good and its so easy to use. You can put your normal wash shampoo through it too again making things easier. With matt paint the less you can touch it (and therefore rub crap over it) the better its got to be overall really.
