Devon and Cornwall polizei have issues with "off-piste" number plates too. I'd not gone 300 yards over the border before plod pulled me over. They said the Chief Constable had tasked them to crack down on number plates! Clearly not much serious crime down there either. Or, if there is, the Chief Constable needs refocussing.
