That can does look a bit close to the back of your boots if you ride with balls of feet on the pegs. Please post lots of pics when you get your very special mod !!!
I had the same thought, but I did check to see how it might work out before ordering, and noticed that placing the ball of your foot on the peg (as I prefer to do), naturally tilts your heel up and away from where the can will be. I'm guessing that it's more of a problem if you ride with your feet flat (with heels down). Don't you worry...I'll start a dedicated topic to document the fitting and final result once it arrives AR posted another couple of sound clips yesterday: https://www.instagram.com/p/BpBzsjll_Ow/?hl=en&taken-by=austinracingexhausts
I don I don't think it void the warranty. I did order the AR and talked to my dealer here in the USA and said it won't void it.
Hi Fitz, the Evotech radiator and oil cooler gaurds are also rather lovely. Any chance you could post a photo of your Barkbuster hand guards, i also ride through the winter. I've also got the heated grips that work very well but obviously can not help with the wind chill when it gets really cold.
Thanks to everyone on your thoughts and suggestions. I plan to add photos of all of the farkle I have added in case it will be of interest/use for any one. I'll try to post tomorrow.
Folks: I thought I would share images of the mods that I have added in case they will be of use to anyone. The images are of the following: 1) Denali 2.0 LED lights (to make me more visible but also cause they are great for night driving in general) 2) Barkbusters CARBON Single Point Bar End Mount hand guards with Carbon Fiber Hand Guards 3) T-Rex Racing Engine Guards on left and right (perfect fitment) 4) Front LED flush indicators and Evotech Frame Crash Bobbins (the front indicators are plug and play; no fitment issues) 5) Rear Rizoma Turn Indicators (I added a Evotech tail tidy and the Rizoma indicators, which are plug and play, fit beside the Arrow cans without issues) 6) Helmet-Lok mounted on front gas tank (I like to lock my helmet on the bike but don't want it dangling so that it fills with rain water. My solution was to mount the helmet lock to the front top tank bolt. It may look odd, and of course I will have to remove it if I ever use a tank bag, but it solves my helmet problem at minimal expense and keeps my helmet secure and bottom down) I didn't take pictures of the R&G Radiator Guard and Oil Cooler Guard that I installed. Both installed without any fitment issues.
Thank you for sharing. Im looking to buy LED LIGHTS to replace the halogen bulb. Any recommendations. Regards
The LED front indicators I ordered came from Andy Fred. They were very easy to install, are sufficiently bright, and are true plug and play. You can contact him at: [email protected] He supplied mine very promptly.
Cheers for the info ! I was wondering of the 2016 Trex engine case protectors would fit the 2018 engine . So those 100+ changes must all be hidden inside... Nice bike
Thanks for posting all the pictures, this is really useful. Whats your opinion on the quality of the hand guards plus are they effective (i have never used any). Next question is on the led lights, how do you rate these compared to the dipped beam of the bikes standard lights? I assume they light up the near distance and are not really for distance vision? Do they have a cut of on the beam or are they like a torch that creates a circle of light? Cheers
Philips LED's have a good reputation they're not cheap though. The latest Ultinon versions can be purchased from Power Bulbs.
I bought H4 led lights from the dealer, online you can find them: http://www.ulightcn.com/product/402.html Color is the same as the existing dlr led. Took a few pictures today, all off, dlr, dim and high beam.
I have the led bulbs from Cyclops (https://www.cyclopsadventuresports.com/Cyclops-100-H4-LED-headlight-bulb_p_192.html) and I really like them. They're not quite as expensive as the Phillips bulbs either. The low beams a quite a bit brighter but the highs are pretty close to the same. Plus they just look better colorwise.
No fitment issues, but it was kind of a pain in the ass to get everything in the headlight bucket. You have to get everything in there just right. I had to unmount the headlight bucket and tip them forward to get everything in and it still took me maybe an hour or so.
